Nana, Pops, and Cousin Kaizer visited for a few days during for New Year's, so that meant a second Christmas and tons of fun for all! I enjoyed having my family up so much that I didn't waste time taking many photos, but here are a few.
Alice was REALLY excited about the new art painting set! Her expression was priceless.
Eleanor opening new children's CDs for her new boom box.
Happy New Year's Eve from these yahoos!
...and this one too!
Doesn't everyone look at the View Master by straining nearly backwards and aiming it at the ceiling?
Playing Cards Against Humanity with my parents. Totally crazy, and so much fun!
Onward and upward to the next year! May it bring us all love, health, and happiness!
So this is bound to be a long one, so settle in folks!. I am always so behind on this blog because I am so overwhelmed with life! I have decided the only thing to do is blog the whole Christmas season in one post, so here we go:
Kicking the season off with cute new shirts from Mimi
Visiting Santa went well this year. Alice has always loved him, but Eleanor thinks he's the worst! She must have really wanted that doll high chair though, because she sat on his lap (fists clenched) just long enough to make her request and then slide down to safety.
Face-painting and fun at the Christmas party at Daddy's office
Eleanor showing her true colors.
These two say they are Santa and his bigger Elf. Hmmmmm.
Alice helped me make our own wrapping paper this year!
It just isn't Christmas until you have made ornaments at Home Depot. If you need an overly-glittered slightly crooked snowflake for your tree, I know where to find some!
Sledding!
For lunch on Christmas Eve, we hosted my new friend, Geoff, and he came bearing gifts!
Preparing to deliver gifts of homemade candied pecans to the neighbors. Totally adorable delivery service.
Off to put out the magic reindeer food in preparation for the night's big events!
A little ornament painting makes Christmas Eve fun!
The annual "early present". These kids were literally foaming at mouth with excitement.
The big morning begins! (Very early at our house I might add.)
Hey, she ASKED for bubble wrap, and we delivered!
New totally fun secret teepee
Didn't every little girl enjoy making those ugly nylon pot holders? Now mine does too! Watch for yours in the mail...
Daddy and Alice trying out her new karaoke machine fit for a tiny pop star. Turns out Dad can sing some pretty awesome Justin Beiber.
I just like this adorable picture of El enjoying her new loot. She won't take the backpack from Aunt Melissa off!
Eleanor's early preschool class had a Christmas performance for families, and she did great! A holiday show put on by three-year-olds just can't be beat!
Here she is all gussied up and ready to perform
It was hard to get good pictures from a distance, but there she is front and center on the bottom row ready to rock the Christmas carols.
Afterwards, our girl was feeling very proud of herself!
