Eleanor's 1st Birthday Party

On October 25th, Eleanor turned one, and on Saturday we had a little birthday party for her.  She is growing so fast, and it is hard to believe she isn't our little baby anymore.  Here are a few details about our littlest princess as she celebrates this milestone:  She has a smile that will light up the room, and she thinks Big Sister is the most amazing person in the world.  She is not walking yet, but she has gotten brave enough to take a step or two before opting for a faster mode of transportation, her silly looking crab crawl.  She will eat anything, and meals are by far her favorite part of the day.  She loves listening and dancing to music and taking a nice bath.

Autumn happenings and Pumpkin Picking

In September we took the girls to the Tri State Fair.  It is definitely a place for once-a-year kind of fun.  Here are a few pictures from our trip.

Alice found the same turtle at the petting zoo that she fell in love with last year!

Eleanor turned 11 months old at the end of September.  It's hard to believe her first year is almost behind us.  She isn't walking yet, but she definitely gets around.  She loves to dance to music and play anything with Alice.  Here are a few pictures taken of her recently.

Alice celebrated "Cowboy Day" at school.  Her sister photo-bombed every shot I tried to take of the rootin' tootin' cowgirl.

We took the girls to the Fall Party at the library.  They were the two cutest leopards I have ever seen!

Alice's First Day of Pre-School

First days are a big deal, and our girl was more than ready.  She could hardly sleep the night before, and was so excited to take her backpack to her new 3-year-old class!

A Family Dinner, Labor Day Weekend, and a Trip to Wonderland

As we say goodbye to summer (sort of, the temperature is still 95 degrees), here are some of my favorite pictures from the last couple of weeks.

We also took Alice to Wonderland, and she had the time of her life again this year.  The afternoon was full of ear-to-ear grins!

Goodbye summer!  Maybe if I say it enough times, the temperature won't be in the upper 90s for the entire next 2 months...

Family Vacation at Angel Fire 2013

We took a fun and relaxing trip to Angel Fire with Mimi, the Lowries, and the Reynolds bunch in early August.  It was awesome to beat the Texas heat and enjoy some cloudy skies and high temperatures in the low 70s!  Here are some of my favorite photos from the trip:

Alice was super excited to use a "rainbrella"!  We don't have much use for one at home.
